A new beta version has been uploaded to Github, labeled 2-beta-20120612. This one addresses a few things from the 2-beta-20120416, as well as fixes the newly introduced bugs from the Battlelog website. However, note that this version is (like the name says) a beta, and has a few flaws. Usually you can get past the flaws by hitting MENU and “Reload”, but it might not be the case sometimes.
Currently, these things are not as great as they could be:
- Profiles may, or may not, load up the soldier. If this occurs (and it says no data found, yet the first tab is populated), move on to the Stats-tab and reload. Hopefully your data will show.
- Assignments may, or may not, load up for you. I think it’s related to Premium, or the same bug as described above. Something weird is going on, but I don’t quite know what just yet.
- “My Invites” at the Platoon tab doesn’t show you your invites, it takes you to the settings instead (until further notice).
Apart from those glitches above, it should be functioning just fine. However, if you encounter any problems that I haven’t listed above, or think you know what might be the problem – let me know! Last but not least… I’ve landed a software development job here in Sweden (and before you ask – no, not the official BF3-app), which basically means that I won’t be working on the app just as much as I used to. I will however continue to support the app as long as it’s possible for me to do it (hopefully forever) – version 2 is really starting to shape up in my opinion, so I’d like to see it re-enabled on Google Play in a near future. Keep your fingers crossed for me, will ya?
